Get Blitzed with Blitz Spirit

Blitz Spirit came about one drunken night (or was it day?) on a European holiday where we saw too many naff British t-shirts that didn't do much for our national image. So we decided to start designing T-shirts that make a statement about who we are in positive and humorous way

And so Blitz Spirit was born.

Blitz Spirit isn't just about fighting them on the beaches - although we have to admit we're proud of that part of our history! Blitz Spirit is about what we feel about ourselves, what we feel about others, what we feel, full stop!

Blitz Spirit isn't about the colour of your skin or your religion - it's a state of mind, an attitude, an approach to life which says "yes, I drink tea with milk and two sugars" and "No, I won't cry in public (except during the World Cup when we admit it's fully acceptable"). It's our weather, our food and drink, our leaders, our sporting successes (and failures), our unrivalled sense of humour, the list is endless ...

Our current menswear range is available from our online store and through independent stockists.

Get Blitzed with Blitz Spirit

The Blitz is the title given to the German bombing campaign on British cities during World War Two. However, the term 'Blitz Spirit' is more commonly used for the bombing campaign against London. After the failure of the Battle of Britain, the Germans attempted to bomb London into submission – a tactic used again with the V weapons campaign in 1944-45.

In the 1930's, Winston Churchill warned that the Nazi threat had to be cofronted before it became stronger. In September, 1946, just after World War II, which Churchill termed "The Unneccessary War" because it could have been prevented by Western resolve, he explained:

"The League of Nations did not fail because of its principles or conceptions. It failed because these principles were deserted by those states who had brought it into being. It failed because the governments of those days feared to face the facts, and act while time remained."

Today, once again, free nations are at a crossroad. Two alternative futures lie before us. Either Iran will be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon, or that threat will be removed.

The future that includes a nuclear Iran is a bleak one. The mullahs are betting that Europe can be intimidated by a brash defiant stance and will, in the end, accept its nuclear program as fait accompli.

One in five UK Muslims sympathise with the suicide bombers who killed 52 people in London on July 7, a survey suggests.

The ICM poll also reveals 40% want hardline Sharia Law introduced to parts of Britain.
